What is Thymic Protein A?

TPA is a naturally-occurring protein, created in the thymus gland, and necessary for the development and activation of T cells—the key component in maintaining immune homeostasis.

How does Thymic Protein A work?

Whether from the thymus gland or via supplementation, TPA optimizes immune function by ensuring the body has the proper amount of mature T cells. The result is an immune system that can work to both increase or decrease the immune response depending on the body's requirements.

Because of this "multi-directional" support, we refer to Twell as an immune optimizer, rather than simply an immune booster.

Is Thymic Protein A safe?

TPA is an extremely safe and well-tolerated supplement. In 30 years as a dietary supplement for humans, there have been zero significant adverse events reported and there are no known contraindications.

Where does TPA come from and how is it made?

Thymic Protein A is naturally-occurring protein of bovine origin, sourced from a single calf, and is not synthetically manufactured. It is made by cell culture at only one laboratory in the world (in Southern California) under the direct supervision of PhD immunologist, Dr. Terry Beardsley

How does Twell support my dog's mobility?

Many mobility issues, including those with the hips and joints, are directly related to the immune system. Optimizing your dog's immune response is an easy, non-invasive approach to helping support improved mobility.

Twell capsules also contain 400mg of collagen peptides which has been shown to support healthy bones, joint health and muscle health.

Additionally, for dogs who are older or have issues using NSAIDs, TPA is a safe and well-tolerated option.

How does Twell help with longevity and anti-aging?

The age-related decline of the immune system is a well-documented reality. Old dogs, just like their human counterparts, tend to fall victim to immune-related issues far more often than when they were younger.

Part of the immune system's decline is related to the shrinking of the thymus gland and it's inability to produce enough TPA to support proper T cell levels. Supplementing with Thymic Protein A from Twell fills that gap and helps keep the immune system operating at an optimal level.

Can the powder be taken out of the capsule and mixed with water?

Yes. If your dog can't (or doesn't like) taking capsules, you can remove the powder and mix with food or water. However, TPA's contact with water will begin a process of the protein losing its activity over a period of 24 hours. For best results, ensure that your pet finishes the mixture in a timely manner.

Is it safe to give Twell to my cat?

We cannot make any recommendations or give advice on off-label use. Feel free to contact us to learn about our ongoing efforts to work on a feline-specific brand of TPA products.

My dog gets Cytopoint injections every month. Is it safe to take this as well?

If you are unsure about any supplement or medication, please consult with your veterinarian.
